The study examined the assessment of National Language Policy (NLP) implementation in Universal Basic Education in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. two research questions and two null hypotheses. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population comprises of 836 primary schools teachers and a sample size of 260 primary school teachers were used in the study. Structured questionnaires was used for data collection. The questionnaire was validated and pilot tested which gave 0.67 validity index and 0.68 reliability index. Data collected was analyzed using frequency and percentage to answere research questions and Chi-square was used to test hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The finding reveals that there is significant influence of national language policy on implemented Universal Basic Education and there is a significant influence of teachers' training on successful implementation of the national language policy in Karu Local Government Area. Based on the findings, it was recommended among others that government and educational stakeholders should enhance training programs for teachers to ensure they are well-equipped with the necessary skills to implement the NLP effectively.
