Numerical study reveals the influence of leading edge geometry on angle of attack and Reynolds number adaptability in turbine blades.
The increasing performance requirements of ultra-high-load low-pressure turbines have brought higher challenges to the blade angle of attack and Reynolds number adaptability. The leading edge geometrical parameters have a greater influence on the aerodynamic performance of the blade type. In order to investigate its influence on the blade angle of attack and Reynolds number adaptability, the PACK-B blade is taken as the research object, and the flow field analysis is carried out through numerical simulation for wide working conditions, and the blade design method of combining the leading edge radius with the leading edge wedge angle is adopted to reduce the blade loss. The results show that increasing the leading edge radius and leading edge wedge angle can reduce the loss at large positive angle of attack, 2 while it is insensitive to the loss at negative angle of attack; the modified vane type has a strong improvement effect on the flow under wide operating conditions at high and low Reynolds numbers.
