An adequate correlation-regression mathematical model was built, establishing a natural rela-tionship between the characteristics of planning elements and their influence on the temperature con-ditions of urbanized areas. The greatest contribution to the change in surface temperature is made by greening the site with trees. This supports the conclusion that green infrastructure has a significant impact on urban heat island (UHI) mitigation. The cooling effect of wood is formed due to shading, evaporation and thermogravitation convection. The obtained results open up wide opportunities for optimizing the thermal state of the urban environment at the stage of urban planning
