Features of the structural organization of emotional intelligence of «burnout» volunteers in the context of professionally oriented volunteerism

Introduction. Increasing demands on volunteers and new areas of volunteerism in stressful conditions leads to a huge emotional burden on all participants in the activity. Research shows that emotional burnout is a common cause of decreased social activity. The aim of this study is to study the features of the structural and functional organization of "burnout" volunteers. Materials and methods. The study involved 194 volunteers between the ages of 18 and 26, with volunteering experience ranging from one year to 8 years, engaged in professionally oriented (EG, N=97) and nonprofessionally oriented (KG, N=97) volunteering activities. To collect the data, we used observation and conversation, as well as standardized diagnostic methods for emotional intelligence and burnout. The results were processed using the computer program "Statistica 10.0". Results and discussion. The features of emotional intelligence of professionally oriented volunteers at both the analytical and structural levels of analysis have been empirically identified. At the analytical level, this is a higher overall level of emotional intelligence (U=3690.0* at p=0.009) and significantly less pronounced abilities to control both one's activities and contributing to the maximum integration of emotional burnout in this phase.
