The Indo-Pacific region in general and the South China Sea in particular are witnessing an increase in American military movements and alliances with countries in the Asia-Pacific region, which poses a threat to Chinese interests and sovereignty over those waters. Therefore, in order to ensure that the regional balance is in its favor, China has adopted various strategies to confront these movements. The dimensions of this strategy differed according to the vision of the Chinese decision-maker, and in line with the imposed threat. Therefore, it included military, diplomatic and economic dimensions. By adopting these dimensions in its strategy, China seeks to preserve its interests and enhance its regional influence.
