Explanatory sequential research highlights challenges affecting teachers' performance ratings in post-pandemic settings, suggesting improvements through tailored support.
The study addresses gaps in understanding the implications of innovative teaching strategies for teachers' performance ratings in a post-pandemic context. Conducted among 73 public elementary school teachers in Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental, using an explanatory sequential research design, the findings reveal substantial challenges faced by educators, particularly in professional development, institutional support, and workload management. Despite these challenges, teachers demonstrate extensive use of best practices, excelling in interactive learning and effective communication. The results indicate that higher levels of challenges are associated with lower performance ratings, while effective utilization of best practices correlates positively with enhanced performance. Younger teachers report higher performance ratings, while significant challenges are most notable among Boomers and Gen X educators. The study underscores the necessity for tailored professional development, mentorship programs, and collaborative learning opportunities. Addressing these findings through strategic interventions can reduce challenges and reinforce best practices, thereby optimizing teaching efficacy and improving teacher outcomes in post-pandemic educational settings.
