During April–December 2021, trial and salvage excavations were conducted in Area H to the east of Tel Yavne (Permit No. A-8999; map ref. 176495/641606; Figs. 1), prior to construction work. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Israel Land Authority, was directed by P. Betzer and D. Varga, with the assistance of E. Kogan-Zehavi (area supervision), A. Kalman (assistant area supervision), Z. Lotan and T. Uriel (administration), A. Peretz (field photography), Y. Shmidov, M. Kahan, E. Marco, Y. Gumenny and N.
