Consensus standardizes perioperative management for Budd-Chiari syndrome, highlighting treatment approaches and prevention strategies.
Budd-Chiari syndrome (B-CS) is a general term for a class of diseases of hepatic venous outflow tract obstruction. Interventional or surgical operation is the main treatment of B-CS in China, in order to further regulate the individualized and comprehensive management of B-CS in the perioperative period, the Budd-Chiari Syndrome and Hepatic Vascular Diseases Professional Committee of Chinese Research Hospital Association organized domestic experts in related fields to form the"Expert consensus on perioperative management of Budd-Chiari syndrome(2025 edition)"after full discussion and modification based on domestic and foreign evidence-based medical evidence. The consensus standardized preoperative preparation, intraoperative and postoperative management, prevention and treatment of complications, and out-of-hospital follow-up, in order to provide reference for the perioperative management of B-CS.
