This analysis examines sliding friction parameters of steel 35 and bronze brazh9-4 in lubricating oil, revealing significant reductions in friction force with magnesium hydrosilicate additions.
Sliding friction of steel 35 on bronze BRAZH9-4 in the environment of Addinol Zylinderöl Z1500 lubricating oil with dispersed particles of magnesium hydrosilicate (serpentinite) 0.5 and 1 wt.% has been studied. It was found that the graphs of changes in sliding friction parameters had both linear sections and sections approximated by exponential and square dependences. The average value of the friction force in the range of normal force [800; 1000], when 0.5 wt% of magnesium hydrosilicate is added to the lubricating oil, it is reduced by 69%, and when 1% is added, by 26%.
