Mini review discusses COI's role in genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationships in Heteroptera, suggesting implications for ecological studies.
AbstractNow-a-days a large number of molecular markers are available for the study of molecular taxonomy, ecological studies, systematics and genetic biodiversity studies. DNA based markers have been widely used in molecular systematics and population genetics studies of insects during the past few years. The various markers used are DNA barcoding, microsatellite loci, RAPD, RFLP, DNA sequencing etc.
