This analysis explores cultural cooperation and soft power dynamics in EAEU countries, highlighting challenges and opportunities.
Although cultural issues are not explicitly addressed in the key documents of the EAEU, cooperation in this field is actively developing at the bilateral level. Numerous bilateral agreements have been concluded, international intergovernmental commissions and working groups on cultural issues are working, and exchange programs, festivals and joint educational initiatives are being implemented. Interaction in the field of culture has become a tool of «soft power», contributing to the strengthening of trust, mutual understanding, and the formation of a positive image of the EAEU. In addition, in certain spheres, such as cinema, there are already positive facts of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia. This study analyzes the existing forms of cultural cooperation within the Union, identifies key challenges, and offers recommendations for further development of this field.
