The article reveals the effectiveness of law enforcement in Taiwan, highlighting community cooperation and innovative technology use.
The article discusses the positive experience of the police of the Republic of China in ensuring public safety. The relevance of this topic is due to the relatively high level of security and favorable crime situation in Taiwan, which is largely due to the efforts of law enforcement agencies. The positive experience of the Taiwanese police in maintaining law and order is of interest primarily to practitioners, but it has been poorly studied in our country. The author presents and describes the main historical stages of the formation and development of the law enforcement agencies in Taiwan. The article also presents the structure and size of the police force, as well as the distribution of officers in the central office and on the ground. The main focus of the article is on identifying the key factors that contribute to the effectiveness of police operations. This includes the training of police officers and the overall structure of the police force. Special attention is paid to the most important factor in ensuring security in Taiwan: effective communication and mutually beneficial cooperation between the police and local communities. According to the author, researchers should also pay close attention to the experience of implementing innovative developments based on the use of artificial intelligence technologies (the M-Police mobile device, the police cloud-based platform, intelligent monitoring technology, etc.) in the practice of law enforcement agencies.
