Conference highlights preservation of resources and aesthetics in natural environments, indicating a growing concern for conservation.
From the White House has come the call for many meetings and conferences through the years. This most recent conference on natural beauty has stimulated wide interest in preserving the aesthetic elements of our natural surrounding. Another conference called by the White House during the term of Theodore Roosevelt was the Joint Conservation Congress. It conrened to hear the report on the first inventory of resources in the United States. That report and conference were largely the result of Gifford Pinchot's efforts. Fifty-seven years span these two particular meetings and our resources are a more rital topic than ever.
