This method demonstrates improved DOA estimation accuracy for non-circular coherent sources, indicating potential over traditional techniques.
This paper presents a direction of arrival (DOA) estimation method for non-circular coherent sources based on real-valued sparse representation (NC-RVSR). Proposed method effectively utilizes the non-circular information in the covariance and pseudo-covariance matrices of the received data. And we transform the complex optimization problem into a real-valued computation by performing a unitary transformation on the two constructed Hermitian persymmtric matrices. The proposed method has the capability to resolve coherent signals. Simulation results show that, compared to traditional sparse reconstruction algorithms, this method has better estimation accuracy and resolution.
