Analysis reveals mechanical and manufacturing engineering accounts for 4.7% of Polish science citations, suggesting significant contributions.
This paper presents some important statistics elaborated based on TOP2% 2024 ranking regarding the participation of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering field in Polish author’s citations in the scientific career category. Taking into account only indirect method of its counting and hierarchical classification of disciplines applied three different lists including Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering & Transport in which the fraction of Materials, Energy and Acoustics are considered. It was documented that the participation of these fields of engineering activity can be assessed in such an approach to be equal to about 4,7%.
