The research aims to highlight the original thematic focus of A. L. Bem’s works dedicated to A. S. Pushkin. Bem gained recognition in emigration primarily as a specialist in the field of Dostoevsky studies, although his scientific interests included the work of many writers and poets, and specifically A. S. Pushkin. Bem always held a heightened interest in the poet’s personality, perceiving Pushkin’s legacy as the foundation not only of Russian but also of world literature. The paper analyzes Bem’s works that in one way or another touch upon the Pushkin theme. These include works specifically dedicated to the poet, as well as articles about F. M. Dostoevsky, which draw parallels with Pushkin’s oeuvre. The scientific novelty of the research is due to the fact that the mentioned works of Bem have not been previously examined in detail from this perspective. As a result of their study, it is shown that not all of Bem’s publications have been comprehensively studied, which, in particular, applies to his polemical pronouncements in print directed against G. V. Adamovich’s position, aimed at defending Pushkin’s legacy.
