Child maltreatment is a major public health concern. Adverse effects of maltreatment include significant associated healthcare costs and child-specific emotional and behavioral sequalae. These adverse effects necessitate continual evaluation to identify opportunities to increase, or expand, prevention and intervention services. To this point, no known review of these opportunities in the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model of care has occurred. Here, effective child maltreatment strategies and services (e.g., psychosocial screenings, Parent-Child Assistance Program, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) are reviewed following the CCBHC model of care.
