The article is devoted to the study of N.G. Salishcheva’s positions regarding the definition of the principles of the administrative process. The influence of the doctrine of public administration on the principles of the process in Soviet times is analyzed, the correlation of administrative procedural principles and well-known principles of civil and criminal processes is investigated. Special attention is paid to the principle of competition in the administrative process. The article rethinks some of the principles defined by the classic of the domestic administrative process in terms of their transformation under the influence of modern legislation and judicial practice.
