January 10, 2024 marked the 95th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian ethnologist, historian, science organizer and public figure, professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rail Gumerovich Kuzeev. R.G. Kuzeev is known as the founder of the ethnographic direction at the Institute of History, Language and Literature of the Bashkir Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (BF USSR Academy of Sciences), the author of the fundamental scientific concept of the origin and early history of the Bashkirs, works on ethnogenesis, ethnic history, demography, economy, material culture and art of the Bashkirs and the peoples of the Volga-Ural region. In addition, he left a bright mark as a talented researcher in the field of ethnic theory, modern ethnic processes, ethnodemography, ethnosociology, ethnopolitical science, and population genetics.
