In this work, a mixed-valence vanadium oxide V6O13 nanosheet was successfully prepared and combined with 3D g-C3N4 to build a composite catalyst for the oxidative desulfurization (ODS) system. The consequences of FT-IR, wide-angle XRD, and SEM analyses manifested that the loading capacity had a significant impact on the morphology of the supported catalyst, while a 20% loading amount conduced to the full dispersion of V6O13 without damaging the structure of the carrier. As a result, the obtained catalyst 20% V6O13/3D g-C3N4 exhibited outstanding catalytic ability, and the desulfurization rates for different types of sulfides employed in this work could all reach 100%. In addition, the anti-interference ability, recycling performance, and possible reaction mechanism of the ODS system were also investigated.
