Recently, Gireesh, Ray, and Shivashankar studied an analog, āₜ(n), of the t-core partition function, cₜ(n). In this paper, we study the function ā₅(n) in conjunction with c₅(n) as well as another analogous function b̄₅(n). We also find several arithmetic identities for ā₅(n) and b̄₅(n).
