Critical analysis correlates blood urea and serum creatinine with Ayurvedic principles, suggesting novel kidney diagnosis.
Blood urea and serum creatinine are fundamental biochemical markers routinely employed to evaluate kidney function. The kidneys, as vital organs, play a central role in maintaining internal homeostasis by eliminating metabolic waste and preserving essential substances necessary for bodily functions. Alarmingly, there is a growing global rise in the incidence and prevalence of kidney diseases, which poses a significant health burden. Ayurveda, with its rich heritage and therapeutic potential, holds promise in the realm of kidney care. In today’s era of evidence-based medicine, there is a pressing need to reinterpret Ayurvedic concepts through the lens of modern diagnostic tools. This study makes a novel attempt to correlate blood urea and serum creatinine with Ayurvedic principles. Such an integrative approach not only deepens our understanding of the patho-physiology and diagnosis of renal disorders but also paves the way for innovative management strategies rooted in Ayurveda
