The electricity sector that leads to renewable energy sources aims to meet national electricity needs while achieving the target of renewable energy mix considering that fossil fuels are increasingly limited. One of the roles of the government in providing electricity generation in Surakarta City is through the construction of a municipal solid waste power plant (PLTSa) at the Putri Cempo landfill, but until past the targeted time PLTSa is not ready to operate. This study aims to analyze the techno-economic feasibility of potential rooftop solar power plants on buildings in the Putri Cempo landfill. The Quasi-Qualitative research method was used with primary data coming from observation and documentation while secondary data was sourced from appropriate literature studies then the data was processed and analyzed using RETScreen software. The results showed that the Landfill Office, Landfill Garage and PLTSa Office in the Putri Cempo Landfill area can be developed into solar power plant with the potential for electrical energy of 988 MWh/year. The conclusion of this research is that in meeting electricity needs and achieving the renewable energy mix target, the roofs of buildings in the Putri Cempo landfill can be maximized into solar power plant so that they can become an energy supply when an energy crisis occurs.
