The rapid urbanization of Selomerto Sub-District presents significant challenges for sustainable urban development. This study addresses the urgent need for a sustainable urban form to counter the detrimental effects of unplanned urban sprawl and its impact on infrastructure and natural resources. By adopting a methodological approach that integrates Geographic Information Systems (GIS) spatial analysis with quantitative data, this research evaluates urban form elements such as population density, land use, and infrastructure. The analysis includes spatial mapping to assess the distribution and diversity of land uses, aiming to enhance urban connectivity, efficiency, and compactness. The study’s findings contribute a meticulously designed sustainable urban form plan for Selomerto, emphasizing strategic recommendations for integrating sustainability principles into urban design. The proposed plan outlines key areas for improvement, aiming to mitigate the adverse effects of current urbanization patterns by promoting sustainable transportation and optimizing land use. These interventions are expected to significantly enhance the livability and environmental sustainability of Selomerto, providing a model for similar urban settings facing rapid development pressures.
