Cellulite is a cosmetic defect of multifactorial etiology that affects over 90% of women worldwide. Cellulite-induced skin changes are undesirable and negatively affect self-esteem. Despite a plethora of cellulite-reducing treatments, we still lack objective tools to enable accurate diagnosis and treatment efficacy assessment. The aim of this study was to determine whether high-frequency ultrasound can be helpful in assessing cellulite and whether there is an association between ultrasound-derived measurements, parameters ascertained clinically, and cellulite assessment scale scores.
