This study aimed to investigate the potential targets and molecular mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects of Farrerol on spinal cord injury (SCI) using various methods. The databases TCMSP, PharmMapper, CTD, and GeneCards were utilized to collect Farrerol and SCI-related targets. Molecular docking, molecular dynamics, and cell experiments were conducted to explore the interaction between Farrerol and its target proteins. GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses were performed to identify the biological processes and pathways involved in Farrerol's therapeutic effects. The results showed that Farrerol significantly reduced TNF-α production in LPS-stimulated microglia, improved microglial cell apoptosis, and reduced reactive oxygen species generation. Additionally, Farrerol could decrease P65 nuclear translocation mediated by LPS, thereby suppressing the inflammatory response of microglia. The study concluded that Farrerol may improve pathological changes in spinal cord injury by inhibiting inflammation and improving cell apoptosis.
