Fifteen duplicate and similar named Jirasail group of rice germplasms were studied for 33 agro-morphological qualitative traits at Bangladesh Rice Research Institute during Boro 2019-20 seasonfor evaluating the genetic variation and generate information for safeguarding from bio-piracy.All the studied genotypes produced intermediate blade pubescence, erect leaf angle, white ligule colour, two-cleft ligule shape and pale green collar and auricle colour of penultimate leaf, strong culm strength, heavy secondary branching, droopy panicle axis, white stigma colour, lemma palea pubescence with short hairs. The result revealed that nine main qualitative agro-morphological characters viz.leaf blade color, basal leaf sheath colour, flag leaf angle, culm angle, panicle type, panicle exsertion, grain shattering of panicle, lemma and palea colour and decorticated grain scent (aroma)showed maximum diversity. The result also revealed that 12 sub-characters like green basal leaf sheath colour, intermediate type panicle, straw apiculus colour were most dominated and 17 sub-characters had the unique/ rare genotype(s)viz.accession number 7591, 5061,
