With the surface of large flowing desert, the fractured vuggy reservoirs in Tarim Basin are deeply buried. There is stable aquifer under the reservoir. The explosive source has achieved good affects in the aquifer, which ensures the ultra-deep weak reflection energy. However, the aquifer has a serious impact on the energy downward transmission of vibrator surface excitation, and the application of vibrator in this area has some limitations. According to the characteristics of the surface and deep layers in the desert, it is clear that the dune thickness and the strong interference in the surface wave region are the main factors affecting the excitation effect of vibrator, and the matching relationship between vibrator and well shot excitation in different target layers is quantified between 4 and 6 times. Finally, the ultra-high density geometry, shot points selection based on the loose degree of sand dunes, and the joint de-noising technology of surface wave area of vibrator data are adopted, which achieves the effect of well shot excitation. The practice shows that vibrator combined with high-density 3D can ensure the imaging accuracy of ultra-deep fractured vuggy reservoir, which provides an example for environmental protection and efficient exploration in flowing desert area.
