The purpose of the study is to identify the specifics of the texts of Russian–language comics and ways to transfer it into English. The article is devoted to the comic as a kind of creolized text, the analysis of the linguistic and stylistic features of the Russian-language comic at all language levels and the difficulties associated with their translation into English. The scientific novelty of this study lies in the fact that for the first time, based on the texts of Russian-language comics published by BUBBLE, we have identified and described linguistic phenomena that are characteristic of the genre and present difficulties for translation. Additionally, we have also identified possible solutions to these translation problems. The results of the study showed that the main linguistic and stylistic features of the Russian-language comic are onomatopoeia and graphones, reduced word forms and lexical units with diminutive suffixes, colloquial and reduced vocabulary, interjections, phraseological units, the predominance of simple, often one-part and incomplete sentences. Based on the analyzed material using translatological and quantitative analysis methods, the most common ways of transferring the described features of a Russian-language comic into English have been identified.
