The article examines the features of consolidating the sectoral principle of labor protection in the labor legislation of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The need for a more clear expression and consolidation of the sectoral principle in the labor codes of the states under consideration in sections (chapters) devoted to labor protection has been identified. The problems of determining the principles of the institute of labor protection, arising from the sectoral principle, are shown. Attention is drawn to the advisability of using certain areas of state policy in the field of labor protection to formulate the basic principles of the institute. It is proposed to reveal the industry principle through a system of basic principles of the Institute of Labor Protection of a general and special nature. The indicated approach and analysis of the views given in the science of labor law on the presentation of the principles of the institution of labor protection made it possible to formulate a new edition of Art. 2091 Labor Code of the Russian Federation.
