Analysis of Reasons of Breakage in Bag Production Machine for Agricultural Materials

In the globalizing world, the borders on the map have begun to disappear economically, and in the world economy, customers expect a high level of quality from their suppliers. Nowadays, as a result of the incredible increase in competition, it is becoming more and more difficult for companies to survive. Only companies that can respond to customers' expectations in the most accurate way will be able to continue their existence in the future. One of the main goals of today's companies is to offer the best quality product to the market at the most affordable price in line with the needs of customers. At this point, the Six Sigma approach is one of the most effective methods that companies can try. Six Sigma approach is a customer-oriented method and considers paying attention to the basic needs of the customer as the beginning of solving the problem. In this thesis study, the root causes of PE film ruptures were investigated by taking the production machines, processes and control steps of the plastic bag manufacturer company as an example, the necessary measurements were taken by taking into account the production lines of a sample company, and improvements were made in the production process by making analyzes with the Minitab program. In this way, the plastic bag industry was benefited. In addition, by examining the concept of six sigma and the improvement steps it proposes, the preparation and process stages of companies for the six sigma approach have been clearly revealed.
