Investments play an important role both in the development of a particular enterprise and the region as a whole. Therefore, the leadership of the Russian Federation pays great attention to the issue of increasing the investment attractiveness of the regions, especially attracting foreign investment. The creation of special economic zones is a global tool for attracting foreign investment to the regions by creating favorable business conditions, tax incentives and preferences. The article examines the essence of special economic zones, their types and assessment of the effectiveness of activities, as well as the problems of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the role of the SEZ “Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley in the development of the region.
