This contribution presents Intersectional Risk Theory as a suitable methodological approach for a group-centred qualitative analysis of semi-structured interviews with inhabitants of three neighbourhoods in a flood-prone zone in Monterrey, Mexico. Together with place attachment, the notions of Doing, Undoing and Re-Doing risk are useful to interpret daily risk practices at various scales in order to cope, adapt, and survive to hydro-meteorological hazards, allowing to situate individual agency as well as forms of community organization and resistance to face flood and other risks.
