Lithium-sulfur batteries (LiSBs) hold significant promise for high-energy storage; however, further concerted efforts are required to address challenges such as the shuttle effect, durability issues, and volume expansion to unlock their full potential. This study introduces an innovative approach to enhancing LiSBs' performance, involving the fabrication of a sulfur cathode using hybrid carbon nanotubes and modified separator. The modified separator exhibited high-rate capabilities, retaining over 80% capacity (~665 mAh/g) across 50 cycles. Cyclic voltammetry analysis indicated that the modified separator enhanced lithium-ion transportaion and a diffusion-controlled charge storage mechanism. Overall electrochemical performances suggest the potential of the proposed technique as an alternative for stabilizing LiSBs.
