Electrocatalytic reduction of CO₂ to formic acid is an effective method for addressing excessive greenhouse gas emissions. However, CO₂ Reduction Reaction (CO₂RR) still suffers from issues of low selectivity and energy efficiency. Herein, we report the preparation of flower-like bismuth nanowires (Bi NWs) that can be synthesized via in situ electroreduction. Bi NWs provided more active sites with improved intrinsic activities. Compared with urchin-like Bi nanorods (Bi NRs) and Bi nanoparticles (Bi NPs), Bi NWs exhibited the highest activity over a broad potential window, showing a 90.7% Faradaic efficiency and 20.4 mA cm⁻²current density at −0.9 V vs. reversible hydrogen electrode.
