Green Leisure Areas: surveys, potentials, and challenges in the central area of Florianópolis

Although several studies confirm the benefits of green areas in improving the quality of life, their effective integration into urban planning still faces obstacles, due to the prioritization of other urban issues considered more pressing. In this context, this study objective is to conduct a survey of the Green Leisure Areas (GLAs) in the central area of Florianópolis by means of georeferencing, aiming to identify their current situation, as well as their potentialities and weaknesses, especially aimed at the use. It highlights the need to integrate these areas to promote greater interaction between individuals-environment and condition a new socio-spatial dynamics in the area studied
