The review of the Brazilian day lighting standard proposes the analysis of the quality of natural lighting in internal spaces based on new criteria, including glare. Glare caused by natural light can lead to a loss of performance for users of teaching environments. This work sought to analyze glare in a classroom at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), based on computer simulation and questionnaires administered to users. User perception suggests that glare may be greater than indicated in computer simulation. It was concluded that control devices are essential for mitigating daylight glare discomfort in these environments.
