Quantitative survey demonstrates a significant positive correlation between spiritual behaviour and self-esteem in asnaf adolescents, suggesting spiritual development fosters positive self-identity.
Socioeconomic factors are feared to affect the self-esteem of asnaf adolescents, thus harming their psychological development and behaviour. However, previous studies show that spiritual behaviour can offset adverse effects and build a more positive self. Therefore, this study aims to identify the relationship between the tendency of spiritual behaviour and the level of self-esteem of asnaf adolescents. This quantitative study uses a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 242 youth workers in Pahang. Data were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22 to obtain descriptive and correlation analysis. The study results show that the tendency of spiritual behaviour of asnaf adolescents is high, and the level of self-esteem of asnaf adolescents is moderate. The study's results also found that spiritual behaviour and self-esteem of asnaf adolescents have a significant positive relationship. Through the findings of this study, relevant parties can form modules and programs for developing asnaf adolescents, significantly improving the self-identity and self-development of pious adolescents.
