„Vekerdista” krónika – Beszámoló a Vekerdi László Szakosztály munkájáról • “Vekerdist” Chronicle: Report on the Work of the László Vekerdi Section

The article by András Veres briefly describes the history of the society, which was founded in 2015 and is still active within the Hungarian Historical Society.They chose the name of László Vekerdi because, as an eminent polyhistor, he embodied their pluralistic conception of science and scholarship.The first meeting of the newly founded society, functioning as a section, was dedicated to the memory of its namesake.The article briefly reports on the papers presented at that meeting, as well as on the themes and major findings of the most successful conferences and workshops.These include the conference on Fanni Gyarmati's diary, the wife of the eminent poet Miklós Radnóti, the conference on the filmmaker Gulyás brothers' oeuvre, the conference dedicated to the memory of the film theorist Béla Balázs, and the round table on the critical edition of the aesthetic-philosophical work of the poet Attila József.The members of the section have always endeavoured to meet the professional demands and the wide-ranging interests of László Vekerdi.
