Abstract

The article presents methods for improving the metrological characteristics of Brillouin reflectometers. Methods based on the Rayleigh backscattering principle and methods based on the MandelstamBrillouin scattering principle. Schemes of optical reflectometers (BOTDA and BOTDR), their parameters and methods of application.
