The article examines the importance of coordination qualities for basketball players and presents mathematical models for optimizing their development based on the results of pedagogical control. The development of coordination skills is a complex process that requires a systematic approach. Mathematical modeling is an effective means of studying and optimizing the development of coordination qualities, which allows you to create models that describe the relationships between various factors affecting their development. The created models can be used to develop training programs adapted to the individual needs of each student. The purpose of the article: development and substantiation of mathematical models that allow to evaluate and predict the development of coordination qualities of 12-13-year-old students in the process of extracurricular basketball lessons. The research used methods of regression analysis and statistical modeling to create models describing the dependence of percentage growth and contributions of each indicator to the general dispersion structure of the development of coordination qualities based on the results of a pedagogical experiment. The developed models showed high accuracy in predicting changes in coordination qualities under the influence of extracurricular basketball activities in the control and experimental groups. Mathematical modeling is an important tool for optimizing the training process and achieving high results in physical education. The use of mathematical models allows physical education teachers and coaches to adapt training programs to the individual needs of students, which contributes to increasing the effectiveness of the educational process. The results of this study confirm the high effectiveness of basketball as a means of developing coordination qualities in middle-aged schoolchildren.
