In connection with the new edition of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the work examines the problem of qualifying the acquisition of weapons and their sale. The question is raised whether what was committed remains a single complex crime with alternative actions or whether a set of crimes has already formed. It is concluded that if a person acquired the subject of a crime provided for in part one of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and sold it, the act should be qualified as one crime provided for in part two of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
