Abstract

The article is devoted to one of the features of the development of mankind — bribery. In the article, we will consider not only the current, but also the previously existing criminal legislation on bribery, using dialectical, historical, comparative and other methods for this purpose. Bribery is prohibited by criminal law, both in Russia and in foreign countries. Let us note the general and differing provisions on the understanding of bribery, punishment for it. Analyzing the legislation, the available opinions of scientists, the author makes suggestions for improving the current criminal legislation on bribery and its application.
