We present the first lattice-QCD result for the Zemach and Friar radii of the proton and neutron. Our calculation includes both quark-connected and -disconnected diagrams and assesses all sources of systematic uncertainties arising from excited-state contributions, finite-volume effects, and the continuum extrapolation. At the physical point, we obtain for the proton <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><a:msubsup><a:mi>r</a:mi><a:mi>Z</a:mi><a:mi>p</a:mi></a:msubsup><a:mo>=</a:mo><a:mo stretchy="false">(</a:mo><a:mn>1.013</a:mn><a:mo>±</a:mo><a:mn>0.010</a:mn><a:mo stretchy="false">(</a:mo><a:mrow><a:mi>stat</a:mi></a:mrow><a:mo stretchy="false">)</a:mo><a:mo>±</a:mo><a:mn>0.012</a:mn><a:mo stretchy="false">(</a:mo><a:mrow><a:mi>syst</a:mi></a:mrow><a:mo stretchy="false">)</a:mo><a:mo stretchy="false">)</a:mo><a:mtext> </a:mtext><a:mtext> </a:mtext><a:mi>fm</a:mi></a:math> and <i:math xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><i:msubsup><i:mi>r</i:mi><i:mi>F</i:mi><i:mi>p</i:mi></i:msubsup><i:mo>=</i:mo><i:mo stretchy="false">(</i:mo><i:mn>1.301</i:mn><i:mo>±</i:mo><i:mn>0.012</i:mn><i:mo stretchy="false">(</i:mo><i:mrow><i:mi>stat</i:mi></i:mrow><i:mo stretchy="false">)</i:mo><i:mo>±</i:mo><i:mn>0.014</i:mn><i:mo stretchy="false">(</i:mo><i:mrow><i:mi>syst</i:mi></i:mrow><i:mo stretchy="false">)</i:mo><i:mo stretchy="false">)</i:mo><i:mtext> </i:mtext><i:mtext> </i:mtext><i:mi>fm</i:mi></i:math>. These numbers suggest small values of the Zemach and Friar radii of the proton but are compatible with most of the experimental studies.
