Chronic kidney disease is a silent epidemic of the 21s century. In patients with chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Dyslipidemia is one of the complications of CKD and is a leading cause for cardiovascular complications .Atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) is a novel indicator involved in dyslipidemia and has been shown to be a strong marker to predict cardiovascular risk. This study was conducted to calculate the AIP in non diabetic CKD patients and to correlate AIP with various stages of CKD. This study shows that there is negative correlation between eGFR and AIP values
