Actinomycetes are aerobic and facultative anaerobic filamentous bacteria, Gram positive, inhabiting different edaphic ecosystems. They represent important roles in different fields such as agriculture, medicine and environment. During this study, isolation from Coconut, allowed us to isolate a single strain of actinomycetes, then we performed 03 physiological and biochemical tests. Indeed, these tests were positively revealed, namely, catalase, mannitol-motility and amylolytic activity. In order to struggle against pathogenic fungal strains, we tested the ability of this strain to suppress the growth mycelia of 03 pathogenic strains of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. albedinis (EF1, EF2 and EF3) and a strain of Penicillium sp. The tests of direct confrontation on the PDA medium between the strain F of actinomycetes and these pathogenic strains revealed a significant inhibition of the mycelial growth of Penicillium sp. (80,88%), EF3 (62,5%) and EF2 (52,70%). On the other hand, the lowest inhibition rate was recorded in EF1 (34.55%).
