Maternal mortality is considered a key health indicator, and the direct causes of maternal deaths are well -known and largely preventable and treatable. The Indian government has introduced some maternity benefit schemes. The utilization of schemes depends on the awareness among the beneficiaries. I conducted this study to assess the knowledge regarding national maternity benefit schemes among postnatal mothers at selected government hospitals (M. P).
