The Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Azerbaijan, approved on 14.07.2000, is a conglomerate of unfinished projects of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet states, cobbled together for a very significant state grant. The neighbors have worked off their grants, tried to complete the draft Code of Criminal Procedure, but we are still content with legal abracadabra. The scope of this article does not allow us to list all the shortcomings of the current Code of Criminal Procedure. According to preliminary estimates, there are several hundred of them. In this regard, it is planned to devote a section to a problem of significant importance, in which all interested parties are invited to participate in the discussion.
