The role of HCV areas in biodiversity conservation in oil palm plantations is immensely significant in preserving the sustainability of both plant and animal life. It is evident through environmental impact mitigation efforts by designating HCV areas in plantations established before the assignment of high conservation value (HCV) and High Carbon Stock (HCS) areas. This research aims to assess the tourism prospects within the HCV areas of oil palm plantations in Pasangkayu Regency. The research methodology employed was qualitative-descriptive to determine how to search, collect, process, and analyze the research data. The analysis method used was a scoring method based on guidelines for Operational Area Analysis of Natural Tourism Objects and Attractions (known as ADO-ODTWA) by the Director General of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation (known as Dirjen PHKA) in 2003. The research findings indicated several potential destinations within the HCV areas of Pasangkayu Regency’s oil palm plantations, including observation of endemic flora and fauna, hiking activities, and exploration of natural caves. Based on the Analysis of Object and Natural Tourism Attraction Area (ADO-ODTWA) results, the feasibility level obtained was 68.40%, indicating its suitability for development.
