Introduction CSR-OSH strategies have been driven by companies that wish to promote best practices, perceiving human capital as a valuable but vulnerable resource. CSR-OSH initiatives promote decent work, and support the fight against poverty and the maintenance of peace. These points of intervention are important in Colombia where there are communities with low employability, without sufficient government support and in isolated territories. OHS-CSR strategies may be applicable in other countries with the same challenges. The momentum that sustainability and CSR are currently having can be used to improve OSH standards. Methods a scoping review was carried out, evaluating OSH initiatives within the CSR framework in Colombia including Databases and bibliographic resources. This is part of the research for the dissertation work for the Master degree in OSH in the ITCILO. Results It was evidenced that the initiatives are led by international initiatives, corporations that intervene within the supply chain, large companies or international cooperation. Sectors such as energy, mining and agriculture are the ones that have implemented more OSH-CRS initiatives. Discussion The initiatives reviewed are related to international certifications, voluntary reporting and as a requirement for international trade. Successfully implemented strategies can be adapted to other economic sectors. The main challenges are the lack of managerial level commitment, insufficient reporting, multiple international certifications that limit the homogenization of criteria for OSH-CSR strategies. It is necessary to increase efforts in managerial commitment, reporting, research, training, and promotion of small and medium enterprises initiatives.
